What nightclub would you recommend in the Sacramento Area?

Excluding BarCODE, I am looking for a fun place for drinks and dancing with good music. I’m new to the whole club scene and just turned 21 last month, and I’ve been looking around and I’ve heard nothing but terrible things about BarCODE – but unfortunately it’s the only club I ever hear about.

I’m not really heading out to get a piece of ass or anything. Just someplace nice to socialize at and have some fun.

In terms of music, I prefer aggressive urban/industrial sort of music – rap/hip hop, techno, hard rock and metal sort of stuff. Not a real big fan of pop music. Not really sure if that influences anything.

Also, I’d prefer to avoid gay clubs. I’ve heard from a few of my friends that many clubs that play techno music tend to be predominately for homosexual clientele – whether that’s true or not, I don’t know.

Anyone wanna help me out?

Downtown is where it’s at! It depends on the scene. Do you wanna dance? What kind of Music? Low key pub so you can talk? Avalon, Empire, Aura, The Park, Harlow’s, Momo Lounge…those are all great for dancing and some live shows and hot guest DJs. The Casbah has Huka bar. DeVere’s or Streets of London are fun pubs. The list goes on. And the 2nd Saturday is always jumping from downtown to past midtown.

Something for anybody and any mood.

Is the GOP’s Roy Ashburn (R-California) now officailly a Tea-bagger?

Republican California State Senator Roy Ashburn was arrested for driving drunk on Wednesday—and now sources tell local news that he was on his way home from a gay club. Ashburn, of course, has a history of opposing gay rights. The father of four was said to be visiting Faces, which calls itself “Sacramento’s premier GLBTI Nightclub since 1985.” "I am deeply sorry for my actions and offer no excuse for my poor judgment," Ashburn said in a statement about the DUI. "I accept complete responsibility for my conduct and am prepared to accept the consequences for what I did."

How many times do Liberals need to be told that Barney Frank is a ‘Teabagger’? The Tea Partiers are definitely NOT Teabaggers.

I know that such distinctions come hard to many on the Left, but it would be nice to see at least a few of them try to learn to differentiate such nuances.

At first I laughed my ass off. Then I got sad because its such a shame that these guys so ashamed of themselves that they have to become super anti-gay bigot douches. What is the best night to go to Faces Nightclub?

I will be in Sacramento next month on a wednesday through a monday and I was wondering which of those nights is the best to go to Faces. Here is what I am looking for, I don’t want an extreme large crowd, but not dead either. Just want to go with a couple of friends and chill at a table or couch and be able to order drinks without waiting in extreme lines. Thanks.

Barcode is your type of club, they have couches and a bar, i never been to faces because it’s a gay club and im not gay.

A California state senator who reportedly has voted against every gay rights measure since he took office eight years ago was charged with driving under the influence on Wednesday, reportedly after leaving a gay nightclub in Sacramento
the issuse is not the legislator, it is the legislation that was passed which affected all of us.

I am looking for my biological father. I’ve tried a lot of public search forums and a variety of resources, but I’m running into dead ends. I didn’t know what his name was or even who he was until last year and I’ve been looking for him since then.
I don’t believe he is aware of my existence either because he and my mother only had a brief, casual relationship. The relationship had seemingly ended post-conception.

Based on the general information below, if you know him, or think you may know him, please reply seriously. I’m a young woman just trying to find my father and my roots. I want nothing but information and possibly some fresh leads to where this man is and if he is even alive.

Here are the details:

NAME: Anthony L. Gomez
AGE (currently): around 51 to 52 years old. He was in his mid to late 20′s – about 26 – at the time he was dating my mother. My mother was in her early to mid 30′s.
LOCATION: California, around the Sacramento area, but he could be living in the Lincoln, or Roseville areas as of late.
OCCUPATION: Worked for the railroad as a welder in Roseville, CA around the 1970′ or 1980′s. My mother filed his tax return in February of 1984 in which he listed this information.
FAMILY: Has a mother named "Nelly" who (as he mentioned once to my mother long ago) is of Asian descent, possibly Chinese. Also has a family member named Eugene (possibly a brother).
RELATIONSHIP: He and my mother (who, for obvious reasons will only be identified by her first initial "I") dated casually and often met at a now closed nightclub in Sacramento called "El Matador" (i.e. "The Bull Fighter" in Spanish). At one point, he gave my mother a small, gold locket which opened up and snapped closed. For many years, she kept my baby picture in that locket.

In most cases (Sacramento included) clubs are 21 and up.

However, most major cities do have at least a few clubs that are 18 and up.

18 and up is not so common because they may not be able to sell alcohol and alcohol is were all of their money is made.

sacramento night life?

Hi my friends and I are looking to have a day/night out in sacramento california. We are looking to go to places like a hookah bar, a nightclub, and or a strip club, or anything else of that sort. Anybody who knows the sacramento nightlife have any ideas.

Also all of us are 18+ but under 21

Actually most of the strip clubs are juice bars, so over 18 folks are welcome.

Try Centerfolds in Rancho Cordova, it is on Folsom Blvd.
