Sacramento Squatters 1221 C Street Illegal Tent City 9-6-2009 Call

Squatters / illegal campers take over 1221 C Street Sacramento in a Tent City – - the police remove the tents repeatedly (See Sacramento Bee Articles) but they put up chains, flash a phoney lease (since it is illegal to rent out for the illegal use of a property – - a tent city downtown, without facilities, and causing a public nuisance), and claim that they can’t be removed.
An attorney (Mark Merin) pushed a class action for almost half a million dollars is setting this up for another lawsuit against the financially strapped City of Sacramento, no matter what this does to the neighbors!
It is a violation of the California Business and Professions Code (Section 6068) and the (California Attorney’s) Rules for Professional Conduct for an attorney to engage in illegal actions or advise others to violate the law – - but that does not seem to stop this attorney while he forces the local community to suffer for his grandstanding and greed.
The Sacramento Police keep asking for calls to support their actions to have the illegal campers removed. There is the stench of sewage, even though someone brought in a temp toilet.

The alleged “tenant” in the video threatening violence to punch someone’s lights out, doesn’t even know the name of the land owner!
