(Sacramento) California State emblymember Bonnie Lowenthal (D-Long Beach) joined several members of the embly Democratic Caucus at a capitol news conference to express their individual and collective dismay over the California Supreme Courts ruling that upheld Proposition 8, the ban on same sex marriage. emblymember Lowenthal says the ruling legalized discrimination against millions of Californians. Despite the ruling the Long beach Democrat says she remains hopeful and says shes ready to support the ongoing struggle to bring equal rights to all Californians, regardless of the sexual identity. Raglan Shire celebrates its two-year anniversary in April 2009. The theme for the party month was ‘Wild Wild West’!
The community square became a dusty old west-style street, complete with livery, chapel, stores and even a jail! Everyone was kitted out as cowboys, cowgirls, native Americans, saloon gals and bandits for the 4-week long party.
Then, one day, a mysterious black leopard wandered into town, with his eye on the bank. What were his intentions? And was he alone..?
Sherrif Rizzo bravely stepped up to find out.
