Speaker Bass on the Next Steps in Solving the States Budget Problem

(Sacramento) Now that voters have rejected the budget related measures on the ballot in the special election, Speaker of the California State embly Karen Bass (D-Los Angeles) says the Governor and lawmakers must move quickly to solve the states budget crisis. Failure to act responsibly and swiftly, says Speaker Bass, will only make the problem worse. At a capitol news conference Speaker Bass laid out the schedule the embly and Senate will follow in order to make timely decisions on the fixes needed to balance the states books.
