Evening in Old Sacramento area?

January 7, 2009

A group I am a member of will be in Sacramento in April and staying in the Old Sacramento area. Most of the people going are older (50+), can anyone suggest a nice bar maybe with live music to go to, preferably nothing loud or obnoxious. We won’t have a car so it must be with in walking distance.

There are a number of great places to enjoy in Old Town Sacramento. Here are some suggestions:

1. A murder dinner on a riverboat. This is lots of fun! Their website: http://www.deltaking.com/suspects.html

2. Laughs Unlimited – a comedy club. http://www.laughsunlimited.com/

3. Hot & Spicy – A restaurant that also has live jazz from 9 PM – Midnight on Thursdays through Sundays.

4. Back Door Lounge – Live music on Fridays and Saturdays

Have fun!

So, you sit down and have your drink at the Old West Saloon…?

January 7, 2009

….and you've just lit Richard Simmon's hair on fire because he mumbled something about a gunfight and suddenly, from behind the bar, Billy Mays jumps out and starts screeching about The Amazing new Zaparooni! and you just want another whiskey….
Do you shoot Billy between the eyes or buy a couple Zaparooni's from him because he has a powerful control over your mind?

Bill Mays definitely has some sort of mind control. I bought two tons of Mighty Putty.
